Financial crisis: G20 Summit in London
On April 2nd 2009, Leaders from the 19 World's largest economy and the EU will meet in London for the G20 summit. After the Washington summit held in November 2008, they will try to restore global economic growth and find solutions to the impacts of the Financial Crisis.

The summit aims at getting 3 commitments from the leaders:
- First, to take whatever action is necessary to stabilise financial markets and enable families and businesses to get through the recession.
- Second, to reform and strengthen the global financial and economic system to restore confidence and trust.
- Third, to put the global economy on track for sustainable growth.
The agenda includes the following issues:
- Coordinate macro-economic actions to revive the global economy, stimulate growth and employment - review measures taken and possible further steps
- Reform and improve financial sector & systems - continue to deliver progress on the Washington Summit action plan
- Reform international financial institutions (IFIs) - International Monetary Fund (IMF), Financial Stability Forum (FSF) and World Bank
